Ten Shades of Success: Dallas Celebrates Women

It was truly a night of the stars at the Ten Shades of Success event on Thursday, May 28, at The Space venue at 2516 Florence, St., Dallas, Texas. Several efficacious women assembled together for a fashion show and award ceremony to celebrate their charitable initiatives. Ten ladies were recognized and given awards for their contribution to the Dallas community. The ladies looked absolutely stunning as they made their way down the red carpet at the start of the event. Founder, Karen Michelle stated: “The idea is to create an atmosphere of leading ladies that will continue to carry their career efforts outside of this event and share the message of being an advocate for charitable causes,” (www.eventbrite.com).

The highlight of the show included a speech by make-up artist Tiffany Luong. She captivated the crowd as she shared an amazing story of how she overcame numerous adversities in order to become the successful woman that she is today. On a lighter note, conceptual fashion designer GeGe Gilzene featured several unforgettable pieces his fashion segment. DeDe McGuire of DeDe in the Morning was also in attendance, and looking sensational in her gold mermaid-fitted gown. Other honorees included Sheryl Action Jackson, founder of the Minnie Food Pantry in Plano Tx.; Erica Annise, Director of Marketing and Events for Heart & Soul Magazine, and many more! The acoustic musical presentation by Vic Garcia and Smooth Condition was the icing on the cake. There were also great vendors present, such as: Glam factory, as well as other make-up and jewelry business owners. This was wonderful occasion. If you did not attend the Ten Shades of Success this year, hope to see you there next year!
