Gemini, you are ready to celebrate after surviving a tough few weeks. The Big Tex® Choice Awards winner 2015 Christi Erpillo, will have you shouting hallelujah for Best Tasting Fernie’s Holy Moly Carrot Cake Roly, while Isaac Rousso drinks in the glory for a Most Creative win with his Smoky Bacon Margarita. Your friend sign Cancer, just might join you to toast a particularly needed period of good fortune entering in for both of you.

Aries, delicious food galore might have you loosening your belt. But you won’t feel so bad knowing Big Tex’s jeans are a 434 waist!  A bit smaller than Orion’s belt, but Big Tex will definitely have you looking up.  Health is on your mind this season, so keep everything in moderation.

Keep looking higher and you will see the 20 story high, Texas Star. This Ferris wheel has long been a dazzling light circling the night sky and thrilling riders who brave her heights. Scorpio this is also your time to shine in the much deserved spotlight. Your name is on everyone’s lips as the “it” person this season. Enjoy!

Everything a little too tame for you Sagittarius? Now through the end of October already has you soaring through life, why not the air.? This is sure to take the breath away. Try the Top o’ Texas Tower. It goes a whopping  500 feet into the big blue. That will have you seeing stars! Maybe even shooting stars, like the Lone Star Horse Spectacular professional riders parading six flags through the fair arena set to traditional Texas music.

Virgo and Capricorn enjoy the Fair’s daily discount programs.  Kroger and the North Texas Food Bank  present  “Fair Deal Wednesdays,” offering discounted admission every Wednesday throughout the run of the Fair. Visitors can bring four cans of food and get in for just $4! Donations go to support local families in need. This offer appeals to your practical yet giving natures. Your hard work has been noticed and rewards start coming your way for the next several months. So you can afford to be generous.
If you miss Wednesday’s deal, try Thrifty Thursdays. This year participating food vendors are offering one of their signature menu items at a reduced price.

As darkness falls, water loving signs Pisces and Aquarius, who have been craving something new and inspiring, get their wish. Get ready for Mattress Firm’s Illumination Sensation 16-minute production of dancing waters and  synchronized fireworks featuring high-energy music and dance performances that will have you electrified and ready to take on the next adventure ahead. See them nightly at 8 p.m. along the Esplanade.

Well cock-a-doodle-doo!
My birthday, Sunday, October 18 might just find me in the Poultry Barn.
Libra, Leo and Taurus, your social life is set to take center stage for the next two months and get very sexy, now that’s something to crow about! Why not try out for this first year Rooster Crowing Contest? It’s open to all ages. This competition will go to the ruler of the roost that can crow the most in a timed event.

All twelve of the Zodiac signs could use a little indulgence and fun, so head out to the Texas State Fair and shine!
