West village shoppers wandered the streets Wednesday evening, oblivious to the fact that all of their fashion prayers were being answered just beyond the iconic threshold of the Brooks Brothers emporium. Out of thin air, Vogue stylist, Cara Crowley, stopped by to talk summer fashion with the Brooks Brothers elite over sparkling spirits and hors d’oeuvres. Furthermore, 25% of the proceeds were donated to Texas Women for the Arts, a giving circle of the Texas Cultural Trust.
The clothier is notorious for innovative adjustments to traditional silhouettes. Incorporating such designs within the working woman’s wardrobe made these subtle adjustments ever so apparent. Among the other “Vogue Picks” were styles that seemed to embody the summers fleeting vibrancy and shore side breathability all in one look. Attention to detail also proved to be a huge focus this summer as accessories relied heavily on unique twists like this gorgeously woven “sailors’ knot” belt and playfully located broaches camouflaged within the color palette.
